We welcome you to St. Paul's! You will find that we are a small but vibrant community, with a family feel. Our services currently alternate between Holy Eucharist and Morning Prayer. We typically use "Rite 2" liturgy, which has a more contemporary feel than "Rite 1".
The Episcopal Church service, similar to that of Catholics and Lutherans, is liturgical. This means that worship follows a set order each week, with scripture readings, sermons, and hymns that vary week to week. We follow a church calendar of seasons that include Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter, and the Season after Pentecost. The sameness from week to week gives worship a rhythm that becomes comforting and familiar to worshipers.
The order of service can be found in the Book of Common Prayer and the readings in the weekly leaflet. Although we follow a traditional service, we are casual and accomodating! We welcome people of all ages and abilities. For communion, all persons seeking Christ are welcome at the table. If you prefer, you may indicate your wish for a blessing by crossing your arms on your chest.
Warning: we take the passing of the Peace quite seriously! Expect handshakes and hugs!
Christian formation opportunities vary from season to season. Please ask a church member or visit our announcements for current offerings.
